It was announced today at CES, to be available mid year.

Sure would be sweet if Channels users could take advantage of the additional resources. (Hint, hint)

At worse: The additional storage.
At best: Take over the whole unit and replace HD DVR with Channels DVR.

It is very unlikely that third party DVRs will be able to use the storage or run on this device. We support a wide range of operating systems including Linux and BSD, but these tuners run a proprietary OS and do not allow custom software installation.
