New User Help Please - DVR / Web Player not working

Hello. I set this up and am able to watch on iOS devices with no issues. I can set programs to record but they fail. Checking the log i get some variation of the following:

2024/09/28 21:03:27.506979 [ERR] Failed to start stream on channel 8.1 via 10951A18: GET: http://10.0.0.150:80/auto/v8.1: 404 Not Found

I get a similar error if I try to play live tv in the web browser.

I'm set up on a Mac Book air with external storage. Server status doesn't indicate any problems. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

This is your problem. What are you using for your source?

I am curious about how you added the tuners to the server. Typically HDHR tuners serve their streams over port 5004; port 80 is only for the tuner's status/lineup pages.

HD HomeRun. It wasn't able to find it automatically so I had to add the IP address manually. I'm guessing I did something wrong at that point.

Check permissions for channels dvr
Apple menu → System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network

Just "upgraded" to Sequoia on iMac-M3 . Channels DVR doesn't work:- 1 source found* Add Source* Manage* (12521683)* 0 channels on 192.168.1.12* No channels detected on this HDHomeRun. Please scan for channels, then click here to continue.* If no channels are found, you may need a better antenna.* HDHomeRun clients do work, so it is specific to Channels DVR

That may be why Channels DVR didn't see your HDHR tuner.

You need to remove the :80 port from the ip address.

You likely need to enable permissions for Local Network Discovery for the DVR server on your Mac. You are usually prompted for this on first run, but it often is not presented. You need to manually enable this in the macOS System Settings.
