If you sub to a cable service that provides the channel you could use a HDHR Prime tuner.
Otherwise you would need to explore how to bring it in as a custom m3u channel - HDMI for Channels, CC4C, Fubo TV project, etc.
I don't use any of them. I can get it through Xfinity Stream if I wanted to.
Yes, they have today's shows available On Demand yesterday. The problem I am having is the today's shows do not have any DVR or even pause. So, you have to view the today programing continuously. I am not interested in the stored programs as it is old news.
All of the cable options are too expensive for what I need. FUBO is a little over a $100 a month, I might as well just go with Xfinity as I am already paying them for internet.

Interesting, I was really hoping that they'd archive today's shows immediately so that a DVR would not be necessary rather than waiting until tomorrow.
You have to watch live and cannot pause, rewind or DVR today's program. So, you can't stray from your TV as you will miss something. You can get away for a few minutes as they have commercials. Today's program will be archived and available the next day.
Ahh, got it. No trick play available.
And as an aside, you can easily get away from your TV frequently. I timed the commercials and the commercials were of as much or in one case more-or-less longer than the regular programing of about 4 minutes of the program and 4 minutes of commercials.
Do we have smart people around here who can create NewsmaxPlus custom channel? Of course you have to subscribe and pay. Someone created Pluto custom channel, which works great for me

This is very frustrating. I have DirecTV Stream which I use with the Channels DVR on an Apple TV 4K because DirecTV's Streaming app sucks.
I can log into DirecTV Stream and watch Newsmax+, but how can I get this stream and guide data into my Channels DVR (TVE) instead of the Newsmax2 (N2) stream?

Pretty sure you can't since Newsmax doesn't support TVE now except via Newsmax2.

Thanks for your quick reply. If I understand you correctly, even with a subscription to DirecTV Stream which allows me to watch Newsmax+, I'm unable to use that subscription in conjunction with the Channels DVR (TVE) to record Newsmax programming?
If that's the case, it's becoming more and more difficult to justify my TVE $8/month subscription. I was fine with having to watch NBC through my DirecTV Stream subscription, but with so many channels becoming direct subscription (or using encryption) it makes my Channels DVR service more and more useless. I'm afraid I'll have to cancel my subscription, and I had been so excited to find something to replace the DirecTV Stream app that is horrible...
Yes, the TVE stuff was what made Channels DVR unique but you're getting guide data for that $8/mo or $80/yr plus the ability to use the Channels DVR for non-TVE stuff. The guide data via Schedules Direct would be $35/yr on its own. So that leaves $45/yr for licensing/updates of Channels DVR. Is it worth it? I've found Channels to be more reliable in recording that the alternatives but I don't like it as well for media collections. I'm sure the answer from most people on the site thought is that it's worth it or they wouldn't be here.

I find Channels DVR to be for technical People not for regular DVR users not being able to set advanced passes from the Client UI is a drawback. Heck you cannot even assign a Channel to record a pass on unless you rush to the Web Server.

Well, I've been only using the Client UI (Android TV) to record. I hadn't even considered going to the web UI but I generally know what I want to record and just create passes.
Don’t mean to be a troll, but if you liked NewsMax and are looking for an alternative, Real America’s Voice should be on your list - especially War Room w/ Steve Bannon, 10am-12pm and 5pm-6pm EST.
It is on Pluto TV and Samsung TV which can both be brought in as custom channels. The Pluto version is delayed by a couple minutes but has guide data that goes further out.
Their evening programming is weaker than NewsMax. But daytime is better w/ War Room and Charlie Kirk Show.
Recording RAV is the reason I am with Channels DVR instead of a different DVR solution.

I'd say The F1rst or OANN would be good choices too. The evening programming with Bill O'Reilly and Jesse Kelly on The F1rst is pretty nice. I think it's on PlutoTV.
