If recording add extra time.
Thank you, Edwin.
Does Channels DVR have a service that can scrape and adjust for this yet? I know, it's only 10 or 15 years behind, but thought I'd at least ask.
No they do not have a way to see if the game is still going on and extending the post padding ... you have to do it manually.
No problem! Manual intervention should be the theme here at Channels DVR, right?
"If we can't do it, we'll make you do it instead."
auto padding is a cool idea, but how would channels know the difference between between nfl and the next program on NBC?
It would probably need logistics similar to comskip (and be prone to similar errors). I bet the bitrate changes, not sure about anything else... probably the same resolution and aspect ratio.
Currently, all my NFL always has 1 hr manual padding.
I used auto padding in SageTV for years a pugin checked online and would add padding automatically.... NextPVR also has this feature.
This is very interesting.
Do you know what online resource provides real-time information about delayed broadcasts?
I believe it used ESPN but not positive off the top of my head.
GeekTonic: Smart Sports Recording with Sage Recording Extender
This thread implies ability to record last night’s game in Channels but I could not figure it out.
I only had access via Peacock. Is there a way to record from Peacock?
Or are you using other sources?
Thanks for any help!
OTA Channel 8.1 ... NBC
Last night's game was also on NBC. Canadian viewers were able to get the game on CTV, TSN1 or TSN4.
Tonight's game is Peacock only, except for the Philly and Green Bay DMAs where it will be on their NBC stations WCAU and WGBA. Canadian viewers can get the game on TSN4.
It will replay @ 12:30 AM PT on NFL Network. XFINITY Channel 729.
