No hardware transcoding-Windows 11 I5 12th Gen

I'm running CDVR in Windows 11 on a I5 12 Gen PC using UHD 770, but the server doesn't see the hardware for transcoding. When I rescan hardware in the Advanced section, it shows h264_amf only with a "Conversion Failed" message.

I have Intel driver 32.0.101.6078 which is the latest version I believe. Diagnostics submitted 38b22e81-d076-40ad-bd4d-3eae10bee91c. Any ideas?

amf means you have an amd gpu installed. I recommend checking your amd drivers. Also some amd gpus may not support video encoding. I recommend nvidia or pulling the amd gpu.

Thanks, but my issue is that I don't have any amd products installed, only the I5 with its igpu. So I'm wondering why the scan isn't finding the qsv device.

What is the part number of your I5?

It's an OEM cpu in a Dell Optiplex 3000, so it should be CM8071504647605, but I'm not sure.

Right Click Start
select System

Under Device Specifications you will see "Processor"

Please reply with everything after Processor

This will tell us what Intel CPU you have and it's capabilities

Also, are you using the onboard hdmi or a video card HDMI?

Here you go.

There is no video card installed.

Your i5-12500 has an internal GPU. Now let's verify that you don't have an add on video card. Right Click Start
Then select Device Manager
In device manager look for Display Adapters
Click the >
What Display Adapter(s) do you see listed?

To all that were helping me, I'm so embarrassed! I was looking for a scrollbar on the right side of the info box, but I didn't see one. I never thought about just using the down arrow to scroll. @eric answered my email ticket and passed that along, transcoding is working fine. :face_with_peeking_eye: :grimacing:
