If I loose internet for a period of time (ie a few hours), will ChannelsDVR stop working and scheduled recordings be missed because it can't check the licences?
No. If you are using an OTA tuner, you should be fine without internet for several days. (The longer you are offline, the guide data may suffer. But it will not affect Channels' operation.)
