I just updated the Channels app and do see the DVR & Recording tabs, however, when I try to playback a recording I get a black screen & no sound. I closed the app and relaunched it but I get same issue. This behavior is the same on my other ATV. The testflight alpha app does not have this issue.
There is a Bug with latest App Store version. Need to wait for new version or use latest Alpha version. I upgraded to latest Alpha which solved my problem.

I’m having the same issue. I see my recordings, but the Channels app on my ATV4 goes quickly to a black screen, then back to the episode list.
The video files play fine via Plex and direct play, so it seems there is a problem with the app, at least that’s my take on it.
This is a known bug that slipped into the App Store release 
We have already submitted a new build and are awaiting Apple review to release it.
