No Upcoming Airings - add a Watchlist feature

I've increased storage capacity and looking to beef up my movie library. As such I'm searching around for some of my favorites. I can see the 'Search' feature is able to find movies even if they aren't playing anytime soon. It'd be a great UX improvement if Channels added a 'Watchlist' feature in order to potentially highlight movies/TV shows that someone is interested in - and highlighting when the movies are now available

I would certainly like/use a watchlist that would allow me to specify movies by title and year and record them when they showed up.

While not quite a watchlist, you can create a pass to search for certain keywords or titles, and have your DVR record them when they show up.

BTW - setting up one of these DVR Passes to search on title using the advanced options. Any idea if the 'Conditions' are implemented using AND vs. OR logic? Wondering if I can make a single pass including the title names for all of my watchlist movies - i.e. title A OR title B OR title C.. OR do I need to make separate passes for each movie?

I think you will have to use a combination of a single pass for multiple movies, and multiple passes for individual movies.

You absolutely can create a single pass to record more than one movie. To do this, use multiple "Title CONTAINS movie name". Channels will apply an OR logic on them. The downside with this is that it may catch other movies that contain the specified words in their titles. It's fine to do this with long movie titles that are more or less unique.

For movie titles that are short and contain common words, you should probably create separate passes per movie with the condition "Title == movie name".

Thanks for that info - yeah i just played around with the Title CONTAINS .. Also added in the Category == Movie filter. So we'll see what we get.. Thanks again!

Don't forget about the On Later section too.

Yeah saw that On Later feature maddox - it's pretty cool. I also searched for a movie but it said 'No upcoming airings' - so that is where i wanted to get notified when it's available.. However, the Series Pass with customized filtering should do the trick

Thanks, I never knew that you could do this.
