No valid IP config

Good morning all,
We've been enjoying Channels thoroughly for the past couple of months without issue.
This morning none of the clients can communicate with the server.
The server's ethernet connection isn't working.
I'm getting a message that reads, "Ethernet" doesn't have a valid ip configuration.

As you can probably tell, I'm not advanced when it comes to netowrking. Can someone provide assistance on how I can fix this issue?
Sincerely appreciate the time and help.

Have you tried rebooting your router? Un-plug and replug the Ethernet cables?

Yes to both.
Unplugged mesh units. Yes, unplugged cable from both computer & switch. And rebooted computer a few times.
When selecting "Ethernet" in Network/Internet settings, it just says Unidentified network.

U can try resetting the network adapter. How you do that depends on the OS. What is the sever? A PC? A Mac? A NAS?

Try a different cable or port on the router/switch. (assuming the server is wired ethernet., one would not want a dvr server on wifi or a wifi to mesh to ethernet setup)

May also be an issue with your routers DHCP server.

Are any other devices affected?

My Channels machine is a Windows 10 desktop (Acer Revo)
I also have a NUC 11 mini desktop also connected via ethernet, and there are no issues with that pc & ethernet connection.

I'm currently on the Acer Revo via wifi.

I pull up a very old computer under "Acer Revo" a Intel Atom powered nettop pc.... not sure if that is the unit you have.

Anyways, sounds like its a pc issue, not a Channels DVR issue. This is not a PC Support forum, but users here can give basic troubleshooting help, far as I know.

Is there any Security/Anti-virus software on the PC, that may be blocking or messing with its connection?
Try a different ethernet cable.

I would suggest check the tcp/ip settings Network adapter settings. Make sure things set to auto.
You can also reset tcp/ip.
This article and below gives step to do so. (do not download or install and "PC fixer" software such sites may recommend, those are always crap. )

If that all looks good, and other devices work fine using the same port and cable, then, something is messed up in the OS, malware, or just Windows being borked, or is a hardware failure of the network adapter.

Ok..thank you very much for your suggestions and help.
I think the switch port I was using for the Channels machine went kaput.
When unpluggin the other desktop's ethernet cable and swapping with the Acer, ethernet is back. However, there is no ethernet connection on the NUC 11 (which is ok since it can use wifi.

Thank you very much!

ps Upon further testing, it looks like the entire switch is dead.
