This is more a public service announcement for future users since I found only one thread mentioning it.
When I set up the new machine I was getting an warning on the settings page of Channels that it detected Norton. I didn't even remember that Norton had been installed on the computer, but checking the app data directory it apparently had been. Based on prior experience I pretty much guessed the solution.
The solution is downloading and running the Norton Removal and Reinstall Tool, selecting "Advanced" which then allows you to remove only. It gets traces of the program their regular uninstall program does not. Once you run that the warning will still appear, until you click it off.
