Not able to specify storage location in settings (Nvidia Shield server)

My Channels Server runs on an Nvidia Shield.
After I resolved an address change issue, I got this error message when trying to record:

stat /storage.3C3F-CB5B/NVIDIA_SHIELD/streaming: no such file or directory

When I attempted to update the database location I got this error message:

Error: unable to create dvr directory: mkdir /storage/3C3F-CB5B: permission denied

The most recent Shield updates are likely the issue for you and why the devs no longer support running it (the server) on a Shield. This is assuming you are using the last Shield Android updates which are 9.x

I'm interested in this community's recommendations for a Shield replacement.

A good budget server is a Beelink off of Amazon with a n100 or n95 cpu. They range from $110-$200 depending on sales and coupons.
