I've installed this a couple of times and it looks like it installs but wont run. Am I doing something wrong?

That’s not normal. What version of DSM?
Can you SSH into your Synology to run a few commands, and copy/paste all the output:

We tracked this down to bad DNS/network settings on the NAS. I’ve updated the SPK to better report and surface these errors for the future.
