Can we gave a button at the top to return the EPG display to NOW rather scroll back bit by bit?
I totally agree with this request. It is also part of Easier Guide Navigation. Add a vote on that one. There are several guide improvement feature requests and we should all rally around one to get votes for it. I think Easier Guide Navigation is the best choice as it is more general.

I also agree with this. If planning way ahead what to record it is very annoying and time consuming to scroll back days and days to the present time.

Maybe just use the back button when you scroll in timeline to jump back, and another press gets you back to top menu?
