NUC6CAYH losing ethernet

I have Channels set up on a Intel NUC NUC6CAYH running Mint Linux 18 Cinnamon and it’s all working great. However, I’ve noticed a few times that the recording were not available from the Apple TV app. I’ve tracked it down to the NUC entirely losing it’s ethernet connection at random times. The only way to get it up and running again is to remove the power supply. It seems that other people have had the same issue:

Has anybody else had the same problem with NUCs?

Sounds from those threads like bad batch of hardware and an RMA replacement is the only solution?

Strangely, it’s been totally stable ever since. Apart from installing updates I haven’t done anything to the box.
