I am working on a failed tune error overlay to hopefully let users know when a tune failed instead of staying in limbo. It might take awhile. Hopefully not though..

Added a failure to tune screen with a "Return to Guide" button.
Increased loading timeout from 5 seconds to 8.
Thes 1.2.3 release has an increased timeout and a new failed tune overlay. Hopefully 8 seconds is enough to tune your channels.

figured out my problem however. After some google foo, In my market, NBC 10 is actually on 15.1 not 10. 10 is out of providence, not Boston. they advertise as 10 because that's where it is on cable. Dumb.
Im not sure why a bunch of them were failing earler, but it seems to be fine now. Probobly slow/sleeping channels server.

I think we need about +10 more second for a station to tune before it is a failure to give a lot of other backend processes time to finish first. Think of something like a FastChannels custom station where it has to go the website, load it up, find an active stream, and then parse it. And now imagine Channels processing on top of that!
I'll increase it for the next release.
I've just about got the right click menu finished. It will be finished in next release along with sorting.

@babsonnexus Tuning timeout increased to 15 seconds. If you need more, I can do that no problem. I think the DVR times them out around 20 seconds and my timer starts 2-3 seconds after theirs.
Replaced all drop-down menus with remote control friendly overlay menus.
Added more remote control key mapping.
I did not start on the light theme. That is going to take more time than I have for the remainder of the week. Hopefully next week.

In TV Show Collections, empty folders display. Also, the sort direction is not remembered when I leave and return.
Im not seeing my empty show folders in collections. Is there anything special about the shows you are seeing folders for?
Try the 1.2.5 update and see if that fixed it.
Unfortunately it has not fixed the empty folders showing. I'm wondering if it's something about my environment. My Channels DVR server runs on Windows 11 and the storage is managed by Storage Spaces. My desktop that's running Nucleus HTPC is also Windows 11. The folders that are empty had recordings in some and stream links is others. It doesn't seem to be related to the file type.
If you hit the F key, it exits full screen mode and is windowed. It still maintains a 720px ratio. Switching back to full screen and again to windowed will return the 720 screen centered.
Windowed, yes, but no way to resize the window in the usual way.
That is expected behavior. I have a lot of rendering logic going on to make the overlays and buttons work well for the screen and remote controls. If you want it to be a different size, use the windows snap feature.
The environment should not matter. I am using the Channels API responses to determine if a folder is empty or not. I am assuming you mean to the Collections front page, correct? If you would, provide me with the json response from your dvr for the /api/v1/collections/{ID}/content endpoint, where it {ID} is the ID of the collections that show when empty. For example, http://127.0.0.1:8089/api/v1/collections/8/content is one of mine that is empty and not showing. On the browser window click the pretty-print box and click Ctrl A to highlight the response and copy and past me the json.
When I select collections, I see the list of movie and TV show collections. When I select the TV show collection, I see the shows and shows that have empty folders show up.
