I currently have Qnap TS-251 + Intel Celeron J1900 up to 1900 MHz (4 core, 4 thread) and 8GB Memory. two 2 tb Hard drive for storage. Using hdhome run. Network is fios with 200 up and down. Just and speed test go 177 up and 203 down using wifi.
All equipment is hard wired on the network. Should the eqipment I have be able to provide 3 or 4 streams at the same time. Two of which might be away from home.
We travel in RV and connect back to my channels app to watch tv in RV. Seems to work fairly well but sometimes we do get buffering. I assume that would be the connection in the RV.
Any way thought on my equipment and specs should be ok, or should I upgrade my NAS. I never rell liked Celeron porcessors but might be expensive to upgrade. This NAS was given to me by my son. Just hard to purchase the hard drives for it. About 5 years old now.
Any thought would be appreciated. Sorry if this is in the wrong place.
