I was initially disappointed to find out that I could not add the Channels DVR to my new Vizio SmartCast TV but using my Nvidia Shield Pro is perfect right now. One remote can power up the TV and Shield - and I'm watching TV in under a minute. While a native app might be a nice option, I don't see it as being critically necessary right now. I'm grateful to get away from the clumsy Nvidia remote that continuously caused Netflix to trigger.
I set the Netflix button to mute the sound with Button Mapper because I find the "hit both volume up and down buttons at the same time" method was a PITA.
Ditches Netflix and makes that huge button useful.
