Click Help at the top and select Configure DVR, make sure it's enabled in there

Or look for the "Channels DVR Server" app and make sure it's running

After that I still cannot get it to connect. I feel like I'm missing a step somewhere.

New hotfix is available with improvements for the storage issue.

First HotFix (33.1.0.291 deployed 2/16/2022) :

  • Resolves Paragon files system crash/hang while using external hard drives with NTFS/exfat format
  • Fixes a cec issue where shield won’t go to sleep
  • Resolves issue where adopted storage starts migrating but doesn’t always complete
  • Resolves issue with mouse click not working
  • Resolves issue where Samba Mac client getting error when copying file to USB Hard-Drive
  • Resolves issue where Playback status shows up on home screen even after exiting an app
  • Resolves issue of framework restart while enabling Dolby Vision on Phillips TV

I upgraded and am now at 9.0.1(33.1.0.283). The subtitles turned off at the Shield upgrade. [edited] I had to go to options and turn them back on.

It does it by itself all you have to do is start it.

Bad News re Shield Experience Upgrade 9.0.2- Got the latest OS (Shield Experience Upgrade 9.0.2), installed it on one of the Shields here, it made the issues I am having WORSE !

There's no 9.0.2 that I know of.

The current options are:

  • v9.0.1 (33.1.0.283)
  • v9.0.1+ HotFix1 (33.1.0.291 deployed 2/16/2022)

So, can anybody who installed hotfix 33.1.0.291 confirm that the external and adopted storage issues are resolved?

There really is a Shield Experience Upgrade 9.0.2 - see photo. I have 3 Shields- 2 pro and 1 tube. Got it last night, installed today on one of the Pros, it undid all of the improvements of the recent Hotfixes....

That is what I have after running the hotfix. What ip address do I put in while trying to reconnect?

Fing says my Shield is at 192.168.1.9 but that doesn't work.

Try clicking Help at the top right of the client app and select Install DVR
