Nvidia Shield - Moving Channels app to USB Drive, does that change the buffer location too?

Pretty much the title. I am using an Nvidia Shield and I'm running low on internal storage. I recently expanded the internal storage with a 32gb USB drive and would like to know; if I move the Channels app to the USB drive, will Channels use the USB drive for the buffer or will it still use the Shield's internal storage?

And a follow up question; if I leave Channels running with a live TV channel playing when I turn off my TV (I do not use CEC), will it eventually fill up all available storage with the buffer, or is there a limit to how large the buffer can be?

You can move it to usb yes the buffer will go on the usb.
