Has anyone pointed their Plex server toward the Channels DVR storage as a source for Plex movies and TV shows? I run both Plex and Channels. When we are traveling there are times when Plex just runs better remotely. Would be nice if I could pull Channels DVR content through Plex.
You can do that. I've always had issues with Linux based permissions between the 2 so I don't use it currently that way. But when I was on a windows based server, I did.
Issues are my lack of experience/knowledge with Linux permission structures and always affraid I'll fark something up, those more knowledgeable than me in this space I'm sure have no problems using both in the manner you are talking about.
