Ok, at a loss... DVR is fine, but doesn't record

Running the Linux version.
Permissions are all good.
Previous recordings playback fine. I can watch Live TV just fine (and stream with TV Anywhere.)

The folder and video file is created, but nothing written to it (zero byte size).

When I try and playback, there's nothing there so the log says:
[HLS] Couldn't generate master playlist: Recording is missing: /media/ChannelsDVR/channels-dvr/TV/CSI Miami/CSI Miami S10E17 2012-03-18 At Risk 2021-12-20-2124.mpg

But I don't think this the root cause, as there's a process somewhere clearly not moving the bits from the hdhomerun box to the disk.

I'm at a loss here. Any clues?

Don't be insulted but the first thing that comes to my mind is to check to see if the disk is full.

Does dmesg show any i/o issues?

nope.

That’s all I’ve got at the moment. I’m a Occam’s razor kinda guy.

perhaps submit diagnostics?

Sure thing. Hit that button a few minutes ago.

I'm going to migrate the directory to a different drive and if that doesn't work, then reinstall from scratch.
Hopefully my database backups aren't screwed.

I think I found it. My VPN is blocking something.

What's weird is that I can browse (and SSH) to and from the same machine (locally.)

One for the books.
