Tailscale warns of a vulnerability with the version packaged with Channels DVR server right now. I'm wondering if that vulnerability affects Channels DVR users and if so, if Tailscale can be patched.
normally, you simply type "tailscale update" via a command line and it will fetch and install the latest version. You will have to restart the tailscale daemon after the update.
So I'm using the Docker container and tailscale is not recognized as a command inside the container, so I'm not sure how it's packaged or what directory it's in.
Sounds like you might need to update the docker container. Perhaps others can shed some light. Personally, I run TS directly on my pfSense firewall, eliminating the need to run a seperate docker container. Also allows access to any device on my home network via its LAN IP address.
Thanks for sharing this. I did not know that they have a special integration. I'm assuming that any security vulnerabilities are taken care of. I appreciate it!
Yeah...I don't use the tailscale packed with Channels for a reason. The "real" tool is updated and supported more often than not.
