I'm about to buy an Apple TV for our guest room. The room is not used very often at all so I'm looking to pick up a used one. Before I do I just want to ensure I don't get one too old to run Channels! I looked around and couldn't find a definitive answer for the current version. Anyone got the info or can point me to the answer? Thanks in advance!
If you go by the release notes, then it has to run tvOS v17.0 or higher
Version 6.3.0 (August 13th, 2025)
|new|tvOS 17.0 is now the minimum required version

Thanks. That's the only thing I found too but wanted to make sure there wasn't something more "official" than a line deep in the release notes!
Amazing that a device from 2015 is still supported. Kudos to the developers! But just to play it safe and not get stuck with something that runs like molasses, I think I need to stick to one of the 4K versions.
