I don't have this issue.
Whats bad is not having your dhcp server highly available and having to "come up" regularly in the first place. This should never be an issue
LOL, If you are running redundant DHCP servers with power that never fails good for you! Not only that, a network failure can separate your DHCP server from the server.
I'm glad your tiny network is functioning so well. Try running a network with 10's of thousands of hosts.
As for multiple servers with manually assigned IPs, you should know how to do that and up until your asking that question I figured you did know how to do that.
Thanks Anyway. I'm just an advanced paying Channels DVR user and not a service provider.
I doubt any of the Channels DVR users run 10's of thousands of hosts.
And if they do, it's not their home Channels DVR Servers.
Otherwise the Developers would be rich and retired by now.
I'm Happy to see that you are supporting other Channels DVR users on this Forum. Keep it up.
And try not to attack other Community Members trying to do the same.
I'm sorry if you took what I stated as an attack. Also, please read what you type before posting as you might avoid getting others agitated.
My home network has about two dozen hosts yet the one I was responsible for when I was working had over 25,000 hosts. I lead the teams that ran the network, the data center, and telephone services.
I love helping others and see you do as well. Keep it up!
I was reading the back and forth yesterday and mentally working on a docker image that would split screen you two typing away at each other. I really thought if we could capture the full image of your interaction in real time we could live cast it and make some money.
