One Channel will not allow playback

Ok, so here is an odd one…

I cannot playback live TV on the Shield TV for the Fox Network. I also cannot playback any show (I only have 2 at the moment) that was recorded on the Fox Network.

I submitted diagnostics from within the app.

I verified that I can playback this channel on the HDHomerun App on the Shield TV and I can play it back via the web browser on my Linux laptop with the Channels app.

The recordings will all playback via Kodi.

This just started when I was trying to playback a recording last night.

Any ideas?

Edit: I am on version 2.0.3 of the App

One of the recordings is 30 minutes and one is 1 hour 3 minutes.

Do you want the shorter one?

Yes shorter will be better.

If you are using Verizon FiOS, all the Fox and FX channels are DRM

It’s not a DRM issue here.

As a work-around, you can disable the Surround Sound option on the Player tab and it will play correctly.

Thanks, but I cancelled cable about a year ago. Everything I record is OTA.

Ok, I just sent the video to you. I had to do it via Google Drive as the file is too big to send from my email. Let me know if you have any issues getting it.

I did test your work-around and you are correct, that worked just fine after turning off Surround Sound.

This should be fixed now. Please try enabling Surround Sound again and let me know if it works.
