Maybe I am missing something obvious, but why is there not a way to one click record from Up Next (On Later, ed.) in DVR Server - even if multiple channels or showings need to be shown, can that be done without a full page reload to details? Its not one more click that is annoying its that your place in up next is lost when going back to the list of other shows.
"Up Next" shows you things you've already recorded. Can you clarify where you're trying to record from?

I dont see it as a popup modal... but would it be possible for the gear icon to be available in lower corner of art without needing popup of details? That's along what I was trying to accomplish.
I see our difference - the on later within Channels | On Later ("On Later Movies") works differently from within just landing page of "on later"
This is actually an inconsitency between the "Movies" Section of "On Later" and the prior "On Later" landing pages, which is why you thought this was already in place. It is not working the way you describe when looking at "Movies" only.

This is working as designed.
Unlike TV shows, Movies could be airing on multiple different networks. Which network you decide to record from could be the difference in a better quality version of the movie, or even the omission of commercial breaks. Because of this, Movies present a choice.
TV show airings tend to be tied to a specific network and do not have the same variability.
