Only Chicago Fire Not Recording...Weird!

Hey all,

My wife noticed something weird the other night. She said that Chicago Fire has not been recording the last couple episodes. I took a look at it and there was a series pass that was created for it but for some reason it was not recording. We deleted the pass and re-created it to see if that helped but just figured i'd throw it out here in case anyone has seen it. I'm sort of baffled as to why it wouldn't of. It's recorded everything else perfectly thus far.

If anyone has any suggestions on things I could keep an eye on to figure out why this might be let me know

Also, can someone explain to me exactly how channels works as far as recording multiple shows at once? My HDHomeRun has 2 tuners so I'm assuming we can record two shows at a time. Can we also watch a already recorded show while those 2 shows are recording? Just trying to get a clear understanding how channels works in this aspect.

Was it listed in the Schedule before? Check the Log tab of the DVR web UI and you can scroll back to see what happened when it was supposed to record the show before.

Correct on both. You can either watch or record two things at once. Watching a recording doesn't use the HDHR, so there are no limitations there.

Yeah it was scheduled. I wasn’t aware of the logs. I’ll definitely go check that out and see if it gives any insight. Thanks for the suggestion!

I've recently had the same issue with Chicago Fire via TVE. I also have OTA using an antenna and an HD Homerun. Guess changing the recording to OTA won't help. When I view the missed recording it shows a bunch of text all over the pass. The log says that the program had already started. I think I'll start the recording a minute earlier. The networks like to run programs like the Chicago series butted up against each other.
