Currently with regards to BSD support, the DVR server is built for macOS and FreeBSD. Is there any chance of adding OpenBSD support, too?
That was removed in 5.0.
(Presently, the release version is 7.2. OpenBSD 5.0 was released 1 November 2011; FreeBSD support has been gone for 11 years.)
That is for vmd(8), which is essentially their own hypervisor (like QEMU and VirtualBox). It runs (some) Linux guests, and OpenBSD guests. But that is a completely different situation. The server I have at one location runs OpenBSD, and I would like to refrain from adding another server/computer if I don't have to.
it seems you should be able to install debian under vmd.
If I wanted to use Linux under vmd, I would use Alpine (which is what the Docker images use, and which is better supported by vmd).
But this is not about hosting a Linux guest on OpenBSD; this is a request for a native build of the DVR server.
