I'm about to install SSD cache in my NAS and I wonder if the developers (or others) would comment on the most advantageous setup to speed commercial marking and transcoding. The choices to be made are Read-Only vs. Write-only vs. Read-Write; FIFO vs. LIFO; and Random-Only vs. All-I/O; and Block Size.
