I have several sources - HDHomeRun Quatro, HDHomeRun Prime, Pluto, and TVE. In each, I have manually blocked all SD, foreign language, and not-my-city news channels. But still, every once in a while a new one pops up someplace.
I was just thinking - It would be pretty nice to be able to create a rule that automatically disables channels based on some criteria. Granted, some of this criteria is easier than others. The easiest might be to auto-disable all SD channels.
Does anyone else agree?
This might not be exactly what you are looking for, but I just disable them in the guide on the clients by going to Clients in the WebUI, then adding the following global client setting:
General > Live TV > Show All Channels Collection
If you set that to off, those won't display on the clients.
Thanks @Eric_P75. I see what you're saying. I just gave that a try and it does work.
I forgot that I had the "HD Channels" group disabled. I never noticed because my "All Channels" group effectively was only HD since I manually disabled all the SD channels.
Labeling a group of channels as HD feels a little archaic to me. Kind of like labeling a show as "In Color".
I only know because I've done the same thing in the past. Glad it at lease gives you the filtered view you're looking for.
