Option to disable padding on back to back season passes

Is there any plans to eliminate padding on season passes on the same channel that are back to back?This would allow channels to only tie up one tuner. Example: I record all three Chicago (Med, Fire, and PD) I have a 3 min prior and 15min after padding setup, in this case for 15 min it would be tying up two tuners to record programs on the same channel.

The DVR does not use multiple tuners when recording two shows from the same channel. It is smart enough to share one tuner for both recordings.
