Hi - I was wondering if it's possible to have episodes coming from personal media appear in the client ordered by air date, rather than by episode number (which seems to be how it works now).
My issue is best summed up by the Doctor Who episodes in my library. The show loves their specials. For example, Season 4 has a Christmas special to start off the season, then 4 post-season specials. Season 7 has a pre-season special and a mid-season special.
I'm looking for a way to organize these that:
- Keeps specials in their appropriate season
- Preserves the correct episode number for non-special episodes / Keeps specials marked as "Extras"
- Keeps the episodes the "correct" order for viewing (i.e. the order of their airing)
I can get #1 and #2 using "S##E00" file name format. However, in the client this groups all specials at the beginning of the season, so mid- or post-season specials are in the wrong order:
The only way I can think of to get everything I want would be to sort the show's episodes by the "Original Air Date" in the metadata. Is that an option somewhere? Or if not, could it be considered for addition to the app?
P.S. - Of course I can get the episodes in the desired order for now by manually setting the episode numbers in the desired order; it just seems a shame to lose the proper numbering and flagging of specials as "extra".
