OTA guide data missing for HDHomeRun

This just started within the last few days -- prior to this point, I had fully-populated guide data for the OTA channels from the HDHomeRun. Playback works fine, and guide data shows within HDHR's own software.

Any ideas? Removing and re-adding the source did nothing.

Is there guide data on the dvr web UI?

Nope, not like it should -- neither the web UI or iOS software have complete guide data. A forced refresh of the guide data has this in the log. There are 55 channels from the HDHR, which show up within Channels DVR, but only 7 have detected channel mappings in the Manage Lineup window (6 of those are shopping channels and hidden). The obvious ones missing are the CBS/ABC/NBC affiliates, PBS, and so on.

Click the gear next to your HDHR and select Sync Mapping

Did that too and no change, unfortunately. It's like the mappings just aren't there, so it's not fetching guide data for them. I don't know where exactly the mapping data comes from so can't debug that further.

You can click Manage Lineup and fix the mappings yourself

Tried that too. There are only 7 listed:

  • QVC
  • QVC2
  • QVC3
  • KCBSDT3
  • KDYSLD
  • KWSUDT2
  • KQUPLP

Is there a way to refresh that data?

Edit: Found it. It looks like the tags in the mappings source changed and no longer match many of the channels. For example, the channel is KXLY-HD, but the equivalent mapping is KXLY-DT now. I'm guessing that's the problem.

The guide data is mapped using Gracenote data by matching the call sign of your stations.
When you added the HDHR source to Channels DVR, you gave it your zipcode.
You can see the channels and call signs it has for your zipcode here.
Zap2it uses the same Gracenote data that Channels DVR does.

Click the button at the upper left labeled Change Provider or Time Zone.
Enter your zipcode and click the Find Providers button.
Select Antenna Local Over the Air Broadcast.

Also, just in case you didn't know this.
A HDHR tuner does automatic background channel scans approximately every three days.
You have no way of knowing when it does it and cannot disable it.
If you have reception issues (bad weather, tropospheric ducting, etc) when the background scan happens, it will remove channels it can't tune. It will also add any new channels it sees.
You can view your current channel list in the HDHR web UI by clicking the Channel Lineup link.
