I have a m3u loaded into channels that has started to act funky at times but is resolved when accessing it through a vpn.
I have a router based vpn that i can apply to specific devices on the network
I run channels DVR on my synology and my clients are almost all Apple TVs.
My question is does the DVR hand off the connection to the Apple TV client to connect so it would make most sense to send the Apple TV clients through the vpn, or does the DVR (aka the synology) connect to the m3u connection itself? I was hoping not to have to put my entire server behind a vpn and could just do the Apple TV clients - but wasn’t sure how it all works.
