I find it weird that the 2 minute option is missing. Sometimes shows go beyond the 1minute end pad, but I don’t necessarily need a 3minute pad.
I think that users should never have to use padding. The DVR should record when the show begins and end whenever the show ends. If this is not happening, maybe more accurate guide data is needed. But messing with padding will interfere with other recordings and also result in recordings that dont start or end at the correct time.
Padding is mostly for handling things like live programs that may go over in time. It’s also there to make small corrections in any sort of schedule that a network doesn’t exactly adhere too.

I agree most of the time it shouldn’t be needed. However, some networks are notorious for going over. For example, Impractical Jokers usually go past by more than a minute. Coming from the Myth TV world, I had to set a padding of 2 minutes to see the end of the final punishment. Also with multi-tuners, it’s not that big of a deal to go over since an adjacent recording will just use another tuner.
I just had to add padding to everything because they’ve been getting cut off, and one was about a minute and a half early.

In the future we may allow a completely custom value in seconds to be adjusted in an advanced form of editing passes. We’re not there yet though.

Exactly! Just add the 2min option. There’s 1m and 3m. Don’t understand why 2m is missing. Don’t need custom.
