Padding from creation of Season Pass failure

I missed the Thursday night showing of 'Evil' so I created a season pass hopeing to pick up the Sunday night episode and then the regular schedule after that. Since Sunday night schedules are seldom accurate due to football games, I added 60 minutes padding to the end and was going to change it back to 1 minute padding after it recorded the Sunday night episode.

However it stopped recording at 1 minute after the normal schedule which is the default I have set in Recording & Passes in the DVR Settings.

It doesn't look like the pass change kicked in for some reason. You could have also edited the specific recording in the Schedule to add time and that would have taken immediate effect.

When did you edit the pass?

The padding was added at the creation of the pass.

If I recall correctly I created the pass on Saturday night.

If the premiere was on Thursday then today's episode was a re-run and would not be marked New. So your pass would not have recorded it and you probably scheduled it manually?

Was going to say the same thing, it was probably not marked as NEW in the guide data.
Happens more than we want.

I don't use NEW unless I know it's a series that I want to see when it airs a new season, or a NEW Premiere Series that is about to air.

Have learned that guide data isn't exactly what we think it should be, our Gracenote EPG from Channels DVR / SD-HDHR is (IMHO) better than TiVo's/RoVi's EPG (it used to be Gracenote) so far and then you have thetvdb that Plex uses...

Nothing is perfect.

I suppose that is possible, although I don't know why I would then create a Season Pass with an extra 60 Minutes, the Thursday night episodes wouldn't need that kind of padding. I'm usually overly cautious when I create a Pass, going back and making sure the episode IS scheduled as I intended.

Thanks!

This was definitely a manually scheduled job created on channel 7.1

Jobs created automatically via a pass would not contain a channel number in their identifier.

Thank you for verifying!
