Passes sometimes don't work. For instance, I have a pass to record local news at 6 every day. It does it on weekdays, but doesn't work for the same program on Saturday and Sunday. Supposed to record all (new + old). Same name on those programs. I've tried adding a pass for them, but it just reverts to the original non-working pass.
My suspicion is that the airings on weekends have a different program ID. It's a piece of metadata that you can't see in the guide but Channels DVR uses it to identify a unique program. Even though they have the same show names.
Probably your best bet would be to create an advanced pass with the name of the program and the time slot.
On weekends, do they also air at 6 PM?
It sure would be a lot easier to diagnose problems like this if CDVR provided an easy way to get a detailed view of a guide data entry.
They have that. In the pass you can look at see what programs match your criteria. Then you can adjust your pass as necessary.

Yes, you can see what matches. The harder part is figuring out why a program you think should match doesn't.
I often use the detailed view you can get by clicking on the File ID in the modal for a recording. I wish there were a similar detailed view for guide data entries.
