I've been seeing 'interrupted' tags occasionally on IPTV recordings (less than 10% of the recordings). Typically these recordings appear to be complete, play just fine, etc.
So I've been looking at the Debug Log for these 'interrupted' recordings to see if there was any pattern to them.
Sure enough, the majority of the 'interrupted' recordings consist entirely of one or two identical entries:
loc=376 pkt=3 pid=4096 what="pat_and_pmt" offset=188 length=376 contiguous=true changed=true packets=2
I've seen them across different channels from different providers. I'm wondering if the 'interrupted' tag is really appropriate in these circumstances? Isn't it reasonable for the PAT & PMT to be (re)set in the first few packets?
I'm wondering if the PAT and PMT variables for a stream should start out marked as 'unset', and it's not considered 'interrupted' if they go from 'unset' to 'set' within it occurs in the first few packets?
