Payment security

Hey,

I can find no details of how you process payments, and how you ensure the security of payment methods.

When selecting to sign up for the DVR service, we are presented with an input form for details of a credit card. I have the following questions

  • Do you use a recognised payment gateway and, if so, which one?
  • If not, how do you receive, store and use the credit card details?
  • If, at a future date, I unsubscribe do you destroy any payment details held?
  • What assurances do you give regarding any incorrectly taken payments?
  • Can the subscription be cancelled online?

Right now I’m holding off subscribing, as the idea of submitting my card details via a form (rather then a payment portal) is making me very nervous.

Our payments are processed through Stripe. The form you see on our website has a Stripe logo in the lower left corner. Your credit card details are sent directly to Stripe, and are never received by us nor stored in any of our databases.

Thanks for the really quick reply. That is reassuring - although when I first went back to look, I still didn't see the Stripe logo.

I understand… unfortunately we have very little control over how the Stripe form is displayed. It is loaded from their servers and displayed as-is on top of our website.
