Persistent "Processing newly recorded files."

The DVR has been showing “Processing newly recorded files.” for days now. It’s clearly not doing anything.
I don’t see anything in the log that might indicate what is going on.
This is only a problem because it’s preventing the engine from upgrading.

I recommend forcing a restart by stopping and starting the DVR software via your NAS apps manager.

ok, just tried that… now the web page just won’t load at all. Anything command line I can do to figure out what’s up?

Hmm, you can check the log. On QNAP over ssh:

tail -50 /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/ChannelsDVR/channels-dvr/data/channels-dvr.log

Worst case you’ll have to uninstall/reinstall and open http://x.x.x.x:8089/restore to restore from backup

Hmm, the log that you sent over shows that the operating system was hung trying to delete an old recording. This is usually a sign that the hard drive is failing or the filesystem is corrupted.

I would advise rebooting the NAS and running some health/consistency checks.
