Personal movies are not importing from Synology NAS. The path is /volume1/movies/TITLE (year).mk4. /volume1 is where the /ChannelsDVR directory resides and both directories have the same permissions settings. Is there anything else that needs to be done for personal movies to be imported?

Which path are you adding for your imported content? For your example, it should be /volume1/movies.
You need to put them in the groups you want them to appear in
/volume1/movies/Bev's Graduation/ (Group=Bev's Graduation)
/volume1/movies/Day Trips/ (Group=Day Trips)
/volume1/movies/Vacations/ (Group=Vacations)
Videos are imported into your Channels library via Video Groups. Video Groups are determined based on the folder containing your videos.
Note: Individual video folders can not be used for a Personal Media source. Your Personal Media source’s folder should be a root folder containing a collection of folders each with videos inside them.
Just to make sure, do you mean home videos that you recorded with a camera?
Or are you referring to movies ripped from your personal collection of purchased DVD/Blu-ray discs?
I'm guessing this was a keyboard mistake when you typed your message because it should be either "TITLE (year).mkv" or "TITLE (year).mp4"
A quick search shows that the file extension mk4 exists but it's not video so that's why I'm suspecting a typo.

Having same problem my personal home videos have disappeared since update they were all in my videos tab before can't get them to import since update
