Yes it should. But some people do have issues doing that with xfinity and forced password resets

If you choose to do over the air antenna silicon dust HDHomeRun flex 4k or flex duo. The 4k has 4 tuners vs the duo’s 2. You don’t need any of the scribe versions to use with channels dvr. Tuner count is personal preference, obviously the more you have the more shows you can record at the same time. As far as antennas you would pick based on location of towers and whether they broadcast in uhf or vhf
