agreed. If that doesn't work...what else could it be?
I’d turn both the router and the attached drive off for at least ten seconds before powering back on.. if that doesn’t fix it, it would recommend submitting diagnostics from both the client and DVR software after the issue happens to see what the Devs think.

hope its an easy fix. In general I find drives attached to routers less reliable than a NAS or directly connected drives to a computer

The bus components used in routers, the resources dedicated to the bus. Its not a high priority in routers. Managing traffic is what they prioritise
