Hdhomerun is a tuner box. What do you mean?

Sorry, i have a tuner box, i meant the hdhomerun software on the pi image.

You would need to install that on your client device

So the Raspberry Pi 4 cannot be used as a client device in it's current set up with the channels dvr pi image?

The pi image is a Server image for Channels DVR. Not a client.
A client would be a steaming box, such as Apple TV, Android/Google TV device, smartphone, smart Tv etc...or a computer via the web page interface (however the web interface is not really designed to be a client)
