Pi DVR disk issue

I was just watching some content from my Pi DVR and the screen froze when I checked the server is unresponsive from a web browser. I power-cycled the Pi and got a flashing green light, so have plugged it into a screen to see what the issue is...

I can't get any further than this - is there a way to recover my server?

Looks like you're using a SABRENT enclosure. Those are known to be very problematic. It is already running in USB2 mode instead of USB3, and still caused a crash.

See https://jamesachambers.com/raspberry-pi-4-usb-boot-config-guide-for-ssd-flash-drives/ for recommendations on a better enclosure.

You should be able to swap it out. If you need access to your data, you can plug the drive into PC or Mac and copy the files off. It will include all your recordings and the DVR databases containing your passes and other settings.

Ah ok, looks like the StarTech adapter would be a good choice so I'll get one of those.
