Thank you all for all your prompt responses!
I should add that I currently run TiVo via CableCARD with a Verizon FIOS package, so instead of switching to YouTube TV, I could in theory also use the FIOS TV app/streaming channel via Channels
@racameron - 2 MBPS bit rate and stereo sound does sound pretty poor, but even though my TiVo recordings via CableCARD are of a much higher bit rate, I don't necessarily think that translates into higher video quality for some reason (maybe the compression of the TV signal on Verizon's end, or maybe even TiVo's compression algorithms themselves)
@froach85 - your point is indeed directly related to my question thank you. I was planning to use the Shield Pro both as a server and a client (similar to how I have Plex running as both the server and client on the Shield). Is that not possible using Channels? Why so? (I have a Roku as well but Channels doesn't have a client for that, so it doesn't help here, I think)
Macnbaish - thank you for sharing your screenshots. I see that you're getting ABC (channel 6001) but not the other network TV channels (NBC, CBS, FOX)? Is it because they're not available in your YouTube TV lineup, or is it because Channels can't pick them up?
