I have been using my new Shield Pro as a server and a client for about a month and it has been great until the last week or so. Recently, the recordings have been stuttering, pixelating, and the audio pauses for a second or so until it fixes itself. This happens almost once every minute or so. It's quite distracting. In addition to the Shield, I also use FireStick 4K and an Apple TV 4K as clients, and the stuttering is the same. I submitted diagnostics just now from my Android app which also experiences the stuttering.
Sounds like the recording is bad? Does it do the same thing if you play the mpg file in VLC?
Does the dvr log show any errors at the time that recording was happening?
The same thing happens when I play in in VLC on my Win10 machine. I found the log that corresponds to that recording, but not sure how to read it. The log file is rediculously long and basically includes this much text for every second of recording. Is there a better way to submit the log to you?

Is this the recording which was affected?
Yes, it was the baseball game. I don't think the recording ended early though.... if I read that correctly. In the video in VLC, it stutters for the first time at about 13 seconds after it begins, and does again every 30 to 60 seconds later

Yeah, I haven't really thought about it today. Yesterday was good too, but I think that was PIX maybe? I use Locast for channel 11, but notice the quality is a little worse, maybe it's 720p as compared to the 1080 from SNY TVE

NBC Sports feeds have always been hit-or-miss via TVE. Perhaps the SNY feed is finally taking up too much effort on the part of NBCS to keep working reliably, and its current state is either going to remain the status quo, or just devolve into unusability.
Thought crossed my mind, too. SNY is a little different as it’s not like the Comcast native ones. Crossing fingers.
SNY is a jointly owned by Spectrum and Comcast's NBC Sports division (among others). Spectrum's SportsNet offerings have limited (if any) TV Everywhere access, while NBC Sports seem to have issues with pre-roll ad insertions and limited RSN availability.
Add those shortcomings with the Bally's acquisition of Fox Sports RSNs and the addition of DRM to their already hit-or-miss TVE support, and the future of open web streaming sports is nearing the end.
Soon everything is going to be locked behind proprietary apps and paywalls, requiring the use of their own first-party apps, or add-on packages to cable/OTT subscriptions at a hefty premium.
