I haven’t noticed this before but the play/pause button isn’t pausing as I would expect on recordings and live tv. It pauses the playback momentarily while the button is held down and then playback restarts when the button is released. I thought my Siri remote was broken but it also happens with my game controller and iOS 11’s built in controller. Tapping the Siri remote trackpad works as I expect though thank goodness.
Did you upgrade to tvOS beta or something?

Just tried It on my kids 11.1 ATV4 and it works as expected. Behaviour is odd on my ATV4K on 11.2 beta 3 with both retail and TestFlight versions.
Nothing has changed on our end. I guess it’s either ATV4K specific, or on tvOS 11.2b3 only?
I tried pause/play on an ATV4 on tvOS 11.2b4 (15K5102a) and it was fine.
Okay thanks. Will keep an eye on it if Apple release another beta. I don’t want to put betas on my ATV4s to test. I only have the 11.2 beta on my 4K to deal with the HDR issue. Will turn betas off once 11.2 goes final.
What’s the build code on the ATV where you’re seeing the issue?
I’m using 15K5102a which is the developer b4, but the public beta might be an older b3 build. Maybe they fixed it in b4.
Didn’t realise b4 had been released. Just updated to the same build as you. Everything back to normal. Must have been a b3 bug.
