What is the purpose of the new setting “Play to your TV” in version 2.2.7 of iOS App?
Play To is a feature of the iOS app:

What is the purpose of this setting ? After reading the posts, i still didn't understand the use/use case for it.
In the mobile apps, when tapping Watch on a show or recording, Channels will prompt where you'd like to watch it. It will let you choose a Channels app running on your TV.
So you can use the mobile app as a guide, pick something to watch, and have it play right on your TV.
Note: Due to the security design of tvOS, if Channels isn't running, it won't appear as an option. It has to be the current running app on your Apple TV.

It's a great feature. Browsing within the iOS app is a nice simple way to find the content you want, then sling it over to the Apple TV app to play it.

Any hope of this coming to the Android mobile app?
The Play To feature is available on Android phones and tablets with the beta apk (v5.06.2241)
