I am seeing Playback Failed recently. I can't seem to track a pattern, but so far I am only seeing it with cable channels coming through an Hdhomerun prime. I have yet to see it with TVE.
Going back and selecting the channel again has always (so far) resulted in being able to view the channel.
Has anyone seen similar behavior?
By any chance are you using a tuning adapter? Usually this occurs when it takes a while for a channel to actually tune and lock.
No tuning adapter (had to lookup what that was..lol)
Could still be a tuning lock issue ... do you have tuner sharing enabled on your clients?
I have been back and forth with that setting trying to cure an issue with intermittent pausing. Currently it is enabled and I have not seen the issue....but the issue is hard to recreate.
What does your network setup look like?
Mesh network with Asus ax6600 access points all devices in the same range of 192.168.1.x. The fire stick is bound to one access point to rule out it connecting to another.
The fire stick I am talking about is on wifi with the following stats from the support page.
Download 448 Mbit/s
Latency 3.47ms
Jitter 1.63ms
Any other network setup info you need?
How is your server connected to your network, wifi or wired?
The server (Synology NAS) and the hdhomerun prime are connected via Ethernet.
